the makeup date

This morning I had the opportunity to attend The Makeup Date, a runway show hosted by Bloomingdale’s that featured the latest beauty trends in skincare and makeup. The event was filled with useful tips and giveaways as well as one-on-one consultations with makeup artists.

The event featured several different brands and products. Represented in the beauty lineup was La Prairie, La Mer, Dior, Kiehl’s, Sisley, Clarisonic, Lancome, Laura Mercier, YSL, Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown, NARS, Estee Lauder, and M.A.C.. Throughout the show, guests learned to create iconic looks and had the opportunity to win different prizes (some of them valued at hundreds of dollars).

The event was officiated by Jennifer Duvall, a makeup artist and the blogger behind Jenny Sue Makeup. Looking very chic in an Amanda Uprichard dress, Jennifer did a great job in presenting and closing the show.

makeovers

After the show, guests were treated to makeovers and special gifts with purchase. I was truly impressed by the Dior presentation regarding their skincare, especially the One Essential Detoxifying Booster Serum, and stopped by their counter for a product application. My skin was glowing afterwards so I had to walk away with a bottle (hopefully it lives up to the hype!) and a list of future products to try. Overall, the presentation was fun, informative, and a great way to learn about new beauty solutions, kudos to Bloomingdale’s for a job great done.
